Collin Johnson: we're on the same boat 😅. Maybe DAS user guides will help surface that feature. At one point, I paused my funding schedules so DAS wouldn't execute them. Then used Fund Now to do it on my own time. But with the Funding Schedule Summary feature, I've since let DAS do the auto funding and I can review all bucket movement for that specific execution.
Anthony: Yeah, I'd normally let it handle itself, but on months like this one where I'm getting paid several days early due to holidays, it's nice to have that Fund Now option. I'll keep that in mind!
Collin Johnson: awesome! I'm glad this helps. I do think a quick action popup would be the way to go. For now I'm thinking smart-fund (for DAS auto calcs), full fund, empty, and maybe pause/resume.
Hmm. I'm not opposed to this idea, but would want to wait a little while before I permanently decide to bound long-pressing to quick funding. If it helps in the meantime, you can't tap the transfer button directly from the buckets page to transfer, you don't have to go into the bucket detail page at all. And if you're funding multiple buckets (and I can see how clicks matter here), try tapping on the edit button for the Funding Schedule and select the Fund Now option. That'll give you a UI where you can do a multi-transfer to many buckets at once. It also has options to auto-calculate amounts for the next funding schedule or just fully fund buckets. Great thinking of having long-press be an action
That makes sense! Maybe long press could open a context menu with some quick actions. I didn't know about the "Fund Now" button! I wonder if there's a way to surface that better.
